If we believe that following Jesus is really the best way to live, wouldn’t it be extraordinarily helpful to know the intricacies of His words, His story and the sacred scripture that so influenced Him? What if a teaching was able to blur the line between scriptures’ story and our story? What if we raised just as many questions as we gave answers? What if this could be done in a teaching every week?
Many people claim to speak for God. Good people, strange people, hateful people, loving people. Sometimes it seems we are so used to the voices who claim to speak for Jesus that we lose sight of what he actually said. Jesus Speaks will start 4.21 and cover Matthew 5-7, the famous Sermon on the Mount. The series will talk about a world turned upside down and God's vision for putting the pieces back together.
